Trailside is committed to SUSTAINABLE & ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY choices. "Pack it in, and pack it out." All any of us can do is try our best to leave no trace, plan ahead, dispose of waste properly, & be considerate of the future we are creating for others.
We value our local farmers and makers the most, they reduce the carbon footprint our ingredients have to travel to get to us, and in turn to "YOU". They are key to a strong local economy and thriving community. We love partnering with farm direct, and other local delivery systems that allow us to bulk order and get into efficient existing delivery networks.
It's important to recognize nobody is perfect, and if we all try our best, small steps every day, make a difference towards reaching a goal. Below are the four main areas we are focusing our green initiatives:
Regeneratively Grown & Organic ingredients: support healthy eco systems, soil, and farm community.
Waste reduction: Composting, recycling, and food donations. Reusing materials & streamlining our inventory.
Energy & water Efficiency: Baking in large batches, low flow water recycle systems, LED lights, & well insulated spaces.
Biodegradable Packaging: balsa wood trays, plant based compostable plastics, Bleach and PFA free choices.
